ChurchKey Hosts New Belgium, Dogfish Head, and Bell’s for Tap Takeovers

ChurchKey is teaming up with some big names in the craft beer industry to kick off 2012 right. Tap takeovers with New Belgium, Dogfish Head, and Bell’s Brewery are a good way to try a bunch of beers all at once from these great breweries.

First, tonight, January 16, New Belgium will be in the house. Seven drafts will be pouring, including:
Trippel (Cask)
1554 (Cask)
Lips of Faith: Fresh Hop Ale (Draft)
Lips of Faith: Prickly Passion Saison (Draft)
Lips of Faith: Clutch (Draft)
Snow Day (Draft)
Ranger IPA (Draft)
Fat Tire (Draft)
1554 (Draft)

Anyone who orders a New Belgium will receive a complimentary goblet.

Can’t make it tonight? Well, next Monday, January 23, step right up for some of Milton, Delaware’s Dogfish Head. This event will debut DFH’s gluten-free Tweason’ale. Tweason’ale is a gluten-free sorghum based beer brewed with fresh strawberries from Fifer Orchards near Dover, Delaware. For the sorghum Dogfish Head uses a sweet syrup with notes of molasses and pit-fruit and combine it with an earthy-malty dark buckwheat honey. Not interested in the Tweason’ale? No biggie. There will also be a ton of other options available. 21 of them to be exact (including some huge rarities!). Here’s the list:

120 Minute IPA
Pearl Jam Twenty Faithfull Ale
Bitches Brew
Hellhound on My Ale
Immort Ale
World Wide Stout
Ta Henket
Burton Baton
Palo Santo Marron
My Antonia
Olde School Barleywine
Chateau Jiahu
Midas Touch
Raison D’Etre
Chicory Stout
60 Minute IPA
90 Minute IPA
Indian Brown Ale

I saved the bes– err, most hyped, for last. Bringing up the “H” word always causes panic and pandemonium, but I’m going to do it anyway. I’m just going to whisper it. On Tuesday, January 31, Bell’s Brewery will take over ChurchKey. And they’ll…*deep breath*…be bringing Hopslam with them in draft and on cask.

Glad that’s over with. Now aside from Hopslam, Bell’s will also have 15 other beers from their portfolio. The list includes:

Rye Stout
Golden Rye
Sparkling Ale
Expedition Stout
Hell Hath No Fury
Double Cream Stout
Best Brown Ale
Winter White
Kalamazoo Stout
Two Hearted Ale
Amber Ale
Lager of the Lakes
Oarsman Ale Pale Ale

For all of these events, there is no admission fee and beers will be available by the full pour or in a 4 ounce taster.
