I know it. We know it. You know it. And The DC School of Beer at the Washington Wine Academy knows it, too. You’ve always wanted to walk through the endless labyrinth of The Shops at Crystal City while sipping on craft beer. Well, your dreams just came true today.

On January 21 and 22 the DC School of Beer is hosting a 1K Beer Walk in the indoor shops of Crystal City with heats every half hour from 2-7p.

Participants get a t-shirt, a glass, a program with the race course, and tasting tickets after they cross the start line. There are eight “hydration stations” where beers will be poured, and there will be snacks and water along the course as well. These are the breweries so far- each of them is pouring at least two beers. The WWA is hoping to add a few more to the list:

Baying Hound Ale Works
DC Brau
Port City Brewing Company
Harpoon
Flying Dog
Yuengling
Spaten
Sam Adams
Duvel
Brewery Ommegang
Brooklyn Brewery

The entry fee is $35.00, and tickets can be purchased here.

We’ve got some tickets to the 1K Beer Walk to give away for both days. Comment on this post with the name of a beer you’d like to create geared toward working out/running/physical activity and be entered for a chance to win tickets for either Saturday or Sunday’s beer walk.

So strap on your cross-trainers and your sweat band and get ready to drink some craft beers!
