Next week, Monday, December 19 and Tuesday, December 20, celebrate the annual tradition of Festivus—the holiday occasion given to the world by the illustrious Frank Costanza. Both Rusticos (Arlington and Alexandria) are pleased to feature 12 amazing holiday ales on back-to-back nights. Local (Virginia, Pennsylvania) and international (Germany, Norway) holiday ales alike meet for two nights of bountiful recognition.
The Festivus celebration will kick off Monday, December 19 in Ballston with the first six holiday ales, followed by a party at Rustico in Alexandria, where six more seasonal beers will be poured with a slew of glassware giveaways.
For the overachiever who attends both Festivus celebrations, there will be a great raffle with prizes like Rustico gift cards, a full ride to Rustico’s 2012 Beer Academy with Greg Engert and some handpicked rarities from his secret holiday stash. Both events begin at 6 p.m. and beers will be priced by full pours. No entry fee.
