Sixpoint was scheduled for two beer dinners at Fire Works. Two dinners will be put on, but people were so pumped for the release of Diesel and the first Sixpoint dinner pairing in Virginia, tickets to the 12/14 tasting have already sold out! A few tickets for the 12/13 seating still remain.
As Sixpoint says: it’s called Diesel Stout but it’s very much a black IPA. Ringing in at 68 IBU’s that bitterness count is actually higher than their IPA, Bengali Tiger. You’re in for a treat with the greeter beer, the Spice of Life Series Nelson Sauvin IPA. The menu is as follows:
Chili & Cumin Rubbed Pork Tenderloin & Manchego Roll with Jalapeno Cream (paired with Sixpoint Sweet Action Cream Ale)
Habanero & Cheddar Grilled Cheese on Toasted Rye with Roasted Tomato & Fresh Basil (paired with Sixpoint Crisp Pilsner)
Shrimp Summer Roll in Winter with Sweet & Sour Dipping Sauce (paired with Sixpoint Righteous Rye)
Honey Roasted Figs, Shaved Prosciutto, Shredded Fillo (paired with Sixpoint Bengali Tiger IPA)
Caramel French Toast with Candied Bacon, Brule Bananas, Maple Syrup (paired with Sixpoint Diesel Stout)
