Taste DC is hosting a craft beer festival right here in Washington, DC. The Mid-Atlantic Craft Brew Fest (MAC Brew Fest) will be held over two sessions on October 15 at the Sphinx Club at 1315 K Street NW.
MAC Brew Fest will showcase more than 100 different craft beers
from 34 breweries, such as DC Brau, Chocolate City, Lost Rhino and Port City Brewing. The event will also include an international food pavilion and tasting of a wide array of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and sweets from gourmet gelatos to hand-made chocolates.
“DC is the only major city in the U.S. without a defining beer festival representing local and regional breweries. With 5 breweries opening in the area in the last 100 days, a burgeoning craft beer scene, and a seemingly unquenchable thirst for beers with local roots, our region is ripe for a beer festival that speaks to DC’s unique character”, says Charlie Adler, author and founder of TasteDC Event Management.
The two sessions on Saturday October 15, 2011 are from 1pm-4:30pm and 6pm-9:30pm. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $75 each and can be purchased here!.
But wait, there’s more!
For a limited time, use promotional code dcbeer when buying your tickets to get your tickets for $50 (nearly half-off!) For just $25 more, you can attend a seminar led by some great local beer gurus.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Brainfood, a non-profit youth development organization that uses food as a tool to build life skills and promote healthy living in a fun and safe environment.
