3 Stars Brewing Company will release its second collaboration of the year on Friday, August 12 at 6pm at Meridian Pint.
The B.W. Rye is a collaboration between 3 Stars and Baltimore’s Oliver Ales. Meridian Pint describes the beer on their Facebook page by saying, “the B.W. Rye uses English malts, American hops (Centennial in the boil, whole-leaf Cascade for dry-hopping), and a generous dose of spicy rye. It comes in at 7%. The nose has plenty of rye along with a big hop character, and it finishes with a nice lingering bitterness.”
3 Stars Brewing Company’s founders Dave Coleman and Mike McGarvey will be on-hand to talk about their newest beer. Meridian Pint will have this new addition to the local brew scene on tap and cask (which is additionally hopped with Centennial hops)! All pints of the B.W. Rye will be $6 all night.
3 Stars, who last month received their brewhouse and this past weekend received a set of fermenters, has been collaborating with other breweries to put beer out into the market before they are able to produce their own brews in-house. For SAVOR Beer Week, they brewed the Syndicate, a saison brewed with a peppercorn melange, with Evolution Brewing Company in Delaware.
