DCBeer.com has some very exciting news to share with all of you this afternoon, and no, neither the stork nor any of the myriad embattled DC political figures is involved.
We were elated to find out last Friday that we’re going to be able to step in and manage the web presence for DC Beer Week 2011. This is a great opportunity for us, and we look forward to continuing to provide great coverage of DC Beer Week over and above what we were already planning.
We’ll be working closely with Teddy Folkman, one of the long-time organizers of DC Beer Week, to coordinate coverage via Twitter (use hash tag #DCBW11 and follow @DCBeerWeek), Facebook, and DCBeer.com. This will include an interactive map, up-to-date up-to-the-minute calendar, and plenty of posts highlighting all of the events that make DC Beer Week so great.
Sometime this week, DCBeerWeek.com will start redirecting to a page we’ve set up here at DCBeer.com, so be on the lookout for that. We’re still hammering out some details and getting everything together in preparation for that.
In the meantime, if there’s something you’d like to see out of our DC Beer Week 2011 coverage, be sure to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you’re interested in submitting an event for DC Beer Week 2011, please send it to DCBeerWeek@gmail.com.
Again, we’ll try to provide the absolute best coverage we can for you leading up to and during DC Beer Week 2011. We weren’t expecting to have the opportunity to support DCBW in this way, but we’re extremely excited about it now that it’s here. Thanks, as always, for your support of DCBeer.com!
