Mad Fox Brewing Company, brewer Bill Madden’s well-attended brewpub, will celebrate its one year anniversary this Saturday, July 16 during an all-day party that kicks off at noon.

The fun starts with the tapping of oaked Slobberknocker American-style barleywine at noon. Then, at 3pm, oaked Wee Heavy Scotch Ale will be tapped. Also starting at 3pm, the first 250 people to order a Mad Fox beer will get to keep the glass that it comes in. (Restrictions: one per person, over 21 no tasters, no oaked beers, no refills.)

The fun will go on in that vein until 8pm. In addition to the oaked beers, there will be American Pale Ale, Porter, and Fennec Ale on cask. All oaked beers will be served in British half-pints. At 8pm, you can get a first taste of Mad Fox’s work in progress: bourbon barrel-aged Batch 100 Strong Black Ale. This will be served for the first time from a small pin cask.

From 9pm to 1am, there will be live music from the Levi Stephens Band.

In addition to all kinds of tasty beers, there will also be some special bar snacks and meal specials in honor of the anniversary. These include:
