The National Zoo’s 7th annual Brew at the Zoo fundraiser is this Thursday, July 14 from 6-9pm. Proceeds from this event support animal care, conservation science, education, and sustainability at the National Zoo.

Tickets can be purchased in two ways. You can buy your tickets at any National Zoo gift shop between 9 a.m and 4:30 p.m. and pay no service fees, or you can buy Brew at the Zoo tickets online or by calling Ticketmaster at 202-397-7328.

Sober driver tickets are also available for $20. Sober drivers will not receive a commemorative mug and will not be served beer.

All but $25 of the ticket price is tax-deductible.

As I mentioned last year, this event gives zoo patrons the chance to sip on some high quality craft brews and consider such fauna conundrums as “why ARE pandas so reluctant to get pregnant?” and “if I was a giraffe, how high would the bar have to be built for me to sip pints from it?” Why would you want to miss out on that? See you there!
