Everyone’s favorite funky beer producer from Dexter, Michigan, Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, will have a tasty rarity tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 12 at ChurchKey: two different casks and five drafts.

Jolly Pumpkin uses open fermentation and maturation in oak casks. This produces a distinctive flavor profile that ties many of the Jolly Pumpkin beers together through a common thread of (to me) slightly horsey barnyard aromas and a depth of character in the flavor from the oak.

There is no admission fee for this event and all Jolly Pumpkin casks and drafts will be priced individually in 4 oz. tasters and full glass pours.

The Jolly Pumpkin casks include:
Luciernaga (The Firefly) – artisan pale ale in the Grand Cru style
Bam Noire – dark farmhouse ale

The Jolly Pumpkin drafts include:
Oro de Calabaza – strong golden ale
Madrugada Obscura – Belgian-style stout
Maracaibo Especiale – brown ale
ES Bam – extra special farmhouse ale
Luciernaga (The Firefly) – artisan pale ale in the Grand Cru style
