DC’s own DC Brau finally got to reap the fruits of its legislative labors last weekend when their tasting room opened to the public for the first time. While the tasting room was only slated to be open from 1-2pm on Saturday, it still had a very respectable draw, as evidenced by this picture from the Washington City Paper’s Lagerheads. Just in time for the 4th of July holiday, the DC Brau crew also unveiled growlers and were filling them in the tasting room!

DC Brau CEO Brandon Skall said via email that the tasting room “will eventually be open multiple days of the week but for now…will only be open 1-4 on Saturdays.” He did note that they “will stay open longer if people keep showing up.” Skall seemed happy with the first week’s activities and called the tasting room’s opening “a huge success.”

Growlers can be purchased at the brewery for $10, and growler fills are $6. Right now DC Brau’s offerings include their three main beers: the Public Pale Ale, Corruption IPA, and the Citizen Belgian Ale.

Not getting enough DC Brau via the tasting room? Be sure to check out their second “Brau-B-Que” that they’ll be holding at Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar, which is scheduled for next Wednesday, July 13, at 7:30pm. We’ll have more details as they become available!
