Smith Commons Says No Taxation Without Fermentation, Packs ACBW with Events

Smith Commons, H Street’s, three-story something-for-everyone, is featuring an impressive lineup for American Craft Beer Week. Starting tonight, Smith Commons will have an event, paired with a media partner and brewery, every day this week.

You can find more information about all of the great events at Smith Commons here at this page.

Be sure to head over on Thursday night and meet the DCBeer.com crew as we join the NO TAXATION WITHOUT FERMENTATION event with DC Brau. There, while enjoying some fine local beer, you’ll have the chance to win two tickets to this year’s SAVOR!

Tonight, head over for the Toast to the Neighborhood, featuring Oskar Blues. Residents from the 20002 or 20003 zip codes with proof of address enjoy 3rd floor exclusive access with complimentary bar snacks from 6-7pm with a pint purchase.

Tuesday, join Bell’s Brewery for some Hopslam, among other great Michigan beers, and a discussion of the back story of some of these fine ales.

Wednesday, join Dogfish Head for three great beers and find a bit of insight to help guys look their best, from hair to skin care, to new facial hair trends, to how to go from office hours to after hours without spending a lot of time in the barber’s chair.

Thursday, as I mentioned, you will be joining us for the DC Brau event. Right? Right.

Friday, join Great Lakes for a discussion about environmentally and socially conscious brewing and some Christmas Ale.

Everything wraps up on Saturday with Flying Dog who will pair with Brightest Young Things for a brunch featuring the famous Beermosa with Woody Creek White.

Each night, there will be a special food pairing from the Smith Commons kitchen that will amaze your tastebuds and your eyeballs.

Smith Commons has really outdone itself with this line-up, so be sure to get over and see these great events and celebrate American Craft Beer Week!
