We just got word that tomorrow DC Brau will be releasing the first kegs of Penn Quarter Port tomorrow. We have heard that Meridian Pint, ChurchKey, and Smith Commons will be among those venues receiving the beer. While the porter will make it to a few other venues, these three are your best bets.
DC Brau CEO Brandon Skall describes this is as “a robust porter that walks a tightrope between being a porter and a stout. We crashed it early so it stays nice and full-bodied with chocolatey tones that porters are known for.” The Penn Quarter Porter has a “nice roasted dry finish” and comes in at 5.5% ABV.
Only 27 1/2 barrel kegs of this brew were produced in this run, and Skall noted that this is the first of many limited releases that will come without rhyme or reason and will not necessarily be tied to seasons.
