Firestone Walker Brewing Co. out of Pasa Robles, California, has a reputation for making a number of great beers. It should be music to DC area craft beer lovers’ taste buds that they’re expanding their distribution into our area. They’ve decided to host their launch party at the venerable ChurchKey on Monday, April 4 at 6pm.
The event notice says, “This fantastic California brewery produces a hefty stock of amazing beers, and they are bringing six drafts and two cask ales to ChurchKey for the enjoyment of all. We’re also pleased to welcome Co-founder David Walker and Export Manager John Bryan who will be pouring and talking about the brewery, its evolution, and the swell brews they are churning out.”
The list of beers, which will probably expand, currently includes on draft:

DOUBLE JACK – IMPERIAL IPA
ABACUS – BARLEYWINE
NECTAR ALES RED NECTAR – AMERICAN AMBER ALE
NECTAR ALES NECTAR IPA – AMERICAN IPA
NECTAR ALES HEMP ALE
Two casks will also be featured, for all your real ale fans out there!
