Beer and whiskey. Whiskey and beer. Two of our favorite things here at DCBeer. Birch & Barley, apparently knowing this, has set up an event that is right up our alley, and we expect it will be right up many of yours as well. Their Inaugural Whiskey and Beer Tasting will be held on Monday, March 21 at 7pm.

The event description notes, “…beer and whiskey are historically intertwined, not simply on account of their base ingredients but that barrel-aging was once as commonplace for ales and lagers as it is for bourbon, rye or scotch. In fact, many craft brewers are returning to this practice today, even using barrels that once held whiskey.” Sounds like a good premise to us.
