On January 31, 2011 The Big Hunt will be tapping one of the very first firkins of this highly acclaimed Imperial American Amber. Several representatives from the Troegs team will be on hand to answer questions and talk about the many other fine products Troegs is brewing these days.
There are very few things I enjoy more than local craft beer from a firkin. For me, It’s the best way to drink a hop heavy beer. The Big Hunt has managed to get a firkin of this year’s Nugget Nectar from the fine folks at Troegs.
What does that mean? At this risk of starting a war, I will say this beer is a fine alternative, perhaps event better than, to Bell’s Hopslam. It doesn’t have the associated hype machine but is no doubt an outstanding beer and one I look forward to every year.

The cask taps at 5PM so don’t be late. I can’t imagine this will last long.
