The Black Squirrel Lounge is opening tonight at 9PM. The new space has a bit of a funkier flare from the dow stairs. Seating involves chill ottomans as well as the bar. Small low-to-the-ground tables will serve as a place to rest your beers. The new bar features a glass surface lit up from underneath and funky globe lights hang over top. They’ve also got more exposed brick with some inset candles to set the mood and a projector playing movies on one wall.

The new space features an expanded beer cocktail list with a number of new never-before-seen combos. They’ve also got 6 taps including Flying Dog 2007 Barleywine, Gouden Carolus Tripel & Noel, Lucifer. Beyond taps there will also be some winter seasonals in bottles. Flying Dog Ragin’ Bitch Belgian IPA is also on draft, but I think that will be downstairs.
