According to an update sent to the DC-Beer list (no relation) the Brickskeller is offering some holiday fair this weekend. Red Pepper Bisque Soup with gouda cheese paired with a fall weather favorite — Grilled Cheese Sandwich! Finish your meal with a Pumpkin Cranberry Bash Pie.
They are also stocking a new brewer from New Zealand, Montieth’s Pilsner and Hearty Black Beer for $4 a bottle.
Beers currently on draft include:
Founders Breakfast Stout – Delicious. he coffee lovers consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee, this stout has an intense fresh roasted java nose topped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that goes forever.
Stone Sublimely Self Righteous Ale – One of my favorite beers of the year, a black IPA style thats refreshing, with a nice blend of intense hop flavors, hop bitterness and roasted malt notes.
St Louis Gueuze Fond Tradition, – A Gueuze style from Von Honsebrouck.
Dogfish Head Burton Baton – A blend of oak-aged English strong ale and 90 Minute IPA. Citrus notes from Northwestern hops meld with vanilla notes from the oak.
Dogfish Head Red and White – A Belgian-style wit ale brewed with corriander and orange peel and fermented with Pinot Noir juice. After fermentation a some of the batch is aged in Oregon Pinot Noir barrels while another part is aged on oak staves. The beer is blended together before packaging. 10% ABV
Clipper City Peg Leg Imperial Stout – An Imperial stout thats dark black and has aromas of roasted coffee, molasses, dark chocolate, toffee and caramel. Nice big beer at 8% ABV.
