Make plans to head to Shirlington this weekend for the 10th Annual Mid-Atlantic Oktoberfest. Like most beer fests, there will be a bunch of tasting tables featuring 30+ breweries from around the country giving out 4oz samples. The event is open to everyone, but you need to pay $25 to get to sample the beers.
In addition to beers, there will be an authentic German band and Oktoberfest-style food to eat. Another thing to remember is that this about the time that Cap City’s Pumpkin Beer and Oktoberfest beer should be ready!
The event starts at noon and goes until 7PM. Last call is at 6PM. I hear this event gets crazy crowded, so for a positive beer experience I’d suggest you get there early to enjoy all the brews before the crowds get out of hand.
Head over to Shirlington Village, 4001 Campbell Avenue in Arlington on Saturday to close out Oktoberfest.
