At first I didn’t think this would be much of a craft beer event, but maybe that’s not what the craft beer drinker is always looking for during Oktoberfest. Head down to the National Harbor in Maryland for Das Best Oktoberfest which will feature “every German beer available in Maryland” and the promise that they won’t run out of beer like last year (haha).
The event will feature beers from Germany like Kostritzer, Edinger, Ayinger as well as U.S. beers like Flying Dog, Dogfish Head, Stone, Saranac, Bells Oktoberfest (actually becoming a rare find so quickly), and bunch more. Click here to see the list.
Beyond beer they will have a bunch of German food vendors, liquor, as well as Rock and Oom-Pah bands playing. There will also be a beer belly contest and a Ms. Oktoberfest for the ladies (but really we all know that’s for the guys too.) Anyway if that doesn’t scare you away, $25 advanced tickets will get you 9 beers (samples probably) and a souvenir glass. You can get them online here… For more info about this event click here…
