21st Amendment Brew Free or Die IPA

Style: West Coast India Pale Ale
Brewery: 21st Amendment
Hometown: San Fransisco, CA

This West Coast IPA is one of the harbingers of the coming canned beer onslaught. Sure, beer in a can is thought of as plebian, low class, bro-y, but this beer is one those beers out there to convince you otherwise. Oh, and pour it into a glass. The can keeps it fresh, makes for some easy recycling, protects it from sunlight and keeps oxidation at bay, but that doesn’t mean you need to shotgun it.

Warrior bittering hops combine with a solid malt backbone to give this hoppy beer a nice kick. 70 IBUs and 7% ABV makes this little can pack quite a punch when you enjoy them by the sixpack. The beer is finished with Columbus and Cascade and then dry hopped with Amarillo, Simcoe and Ahtanum.

You can find this beer at DeVinos and P Street Whole Foods. Leave a comment about where you’ve seen this beer.
