According to @FlyingDogJT, Gonzofest has almost sold 2000 tickets out of a total 2500. This means two things, there’s a chance for 500 more people to attend or they might even sell out and then you are out of luck.
Every year Flying Dog throws a huge party in honor of Hunter S. Thompson. This year is the 2nd Annual GonzoFest hosted at the brewery. The event takes place this Saturday September 12 from 3PM till 9PM.
The party features Flying Dog beers included with your ticket price and chili samples from the Hard Times Cafe Chili Cookoff. Beyond the good brews and food, they will have live music (one of the members of Hootie and the Blowfish and someone from Ace of Cakes [the show? haha]) and a Hunter S. Thompson lookalike contest. Dressing up like Hunter gets you a chance to win a 750 ml bottle of the original Gonzo Imperial Porter signed by Ralph Steadman and numerous other Gonzo related prizes.
Tickets are $20 online (click here to order) and $30 at the door. Some proceeds benefit the Frederick United Way.
