Happy Septembeer!

Prost!!! Oktoberfest season starts this month and we couldn’t be more excited. September holds many great beer events and hopefully some beautiful weather for outdoor drinking. We can’t wait to drink marzens and festbiers! All the malty, roasty, and even smoky brews await us this month, so make sure you keep an eye on our events calendar for all the cool things we can’t fit into this email. Be sure to tag us as you celebrate National Beer Lovers Day on September 7th, and National Drink Beer Day on the 28th. Cheers!

Women’s Brew Culture Club at DC Brau. Our monthly outing will be hosted by Paulette, taproom and retail manager at DC Brau.   • September 7th: Streetcar 82’s 5th anniversary with a special beer release and live music!
  • September 9th: Maryland Cider Festival. This event will showcase hard cider makers from across the Old Line State. You’ll also find local artisans, craft vendors, live music, and food trucks. Whether you’re an aficionado who knows their cider, cidre, or sidra, or you’re just looking for a refreshing change of taste this is the place to be.
  • September 9th: RhinoFest at Lost Rhino.  Award-winning RhinO'fest Märzen Lager release, live music by The Distance and Marc Allred, authentic German-style fare 1L RhinO'fest 2023 glass steins available for purchase, outdoor games and kids activities, traditional German clothing contest, and more! 
  • September 9th: Lil’ Mini Oktoberfest at Sapwood Cellars featuring the release of their festbier, Sky Meadow. 
  • September 14-17th: Silver Branch’s Oktoberfest!
  • September 16th: Other Half’s Oktoberfest!
  • September 16th: Solace’s Lager Fest at Falls Church. This “End of Summer Bash” is a gathering of industry friends of our head brewer, Russell Carpenter, from around the DMV and beyond. Each ticket purchased will receive a commemorative mug good for unlimited tastes of all the amazing local lagers for the duration of the festival, as well as all draft options available inside Solace Outpost.”
  • September 16-17th: Wheatland Spring Oktoberfest!
  • September 23rd: Sapwood Cellars’ FIFTH Anniversary Party with special beer releases such as Cheater X5 (TIPA w/Galaxy and Nelson)!30th: Right Proper’s 3rd Annual Block Party! The 3rd annual "A Right Proper Block Party", hosted by Right Proper + An Indivisible Art Collective + Black Brew Movement + Howard Theatre, returns for the annual Art All Night party in Shaw!

  • Sapwood Cellars’ “Barrel Threads 2023” a Bourbon barrel-aged stout cuvee and “Growth Rings 2023”, a 3 year blend of barrel-aged pale sours. 
  • Streetcar 82’s: “Batch 82: 5th Anniversary edition”   8.2% abv. Hazy ipa with cashmere, amarillo & mosaic with a new yeast strain to switch things up! 
  • Hellbender’s Festbier, Maibock & Hefeweizen all hit the taps this month! Yay for all the German beers this month. 
  • Denizens’ “Hike The Alps RAUCHBIER”. Smoky beer for the win!
