Join Shelter as we celebrate Rothaus Zäpfle Day 2023 this coming Saturday, May 13th! It’s a full day of German lager enjoyment as we toast Rothaus and their very special Tannenzäpfle pilsner.
Located in the Black Forest of Germany, Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus was founded by the Benedictine Monastery of St. Blasien in 1791. Rothaus Tannenzäpfle, which translates to “little fir cone,” is the absolute classic – and has been since 1956. This classic German Pilsner is brewed with the best aromatic hops from Tettnang and Hallertau, local malt made from summer barley, and the purest spring water from the Upper Black Forest.
To celebrate Zäpfle Day 2023, we’ll feature draft pours of Rothaus Tannenzäpfle, and live stream the brewery’s official Zäpfle Day video feed. The stream will start at 1:00 PM, and the Worldwide Prost will take place at 3:00 PM. Plus, Rothaus is sending glassware and merchandise to give-away to fans who join us for this momentous occasion!
There is no admission fee for this event. Rothaus Tannenzäpfle pilsner will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. tasting pours.
