November 5 @ 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Craft Beer Cellar DC and Derek Brown are holding DC’s First Annual Mindful Drinking Festival to celebrate the explosion of non-alcoholic adult beverages and mindful drinking.
Mindful drinking — along with no- and low-alcohol beer, wine, and spirits — is an important trend and an invaluable tool as we head into the holiday season.
On Saturday, November 5th, mindful drinkers, and those curious about non-alcoholic adult beverages, can explore the world of non-alcoholic spirits, wine, and beers. During this four hour event, hosted by Craft Beer Cellar DC and Positive Damage, Inc. — a new company by former Columbia Room owner, Derek Brown — attendees can sample some of the best no- and low-alcohol beer, wine, and spirits, learn tools to help stay healthy and wellness focused during the holidays, and how to make no- and low-alcohol cocktails for the holidays.
Booths will be set up inside and outside the store, with vendor tastings available from 2-6 p.m. Sample more than 20 non-alcoholic beverages from local, national and international producers and distributors.
On the hour, starting at 3 p.m., Derek Brown will discuss his latest book “Mindful Mixology: A Comprehensive Guide to No- and Low-Alcohol Cocktails,” released earlier this year, and demonstrate how to make a classic mulled cider called 12th Night Cider from his book. MADabolic wellness and fitness professionals will be on hand throughout the day to discuss tools to stay healthy and wellness-focused during the holidays.
Tickets are available for $20 and include:
- Unlimited pours of more than 20 non-alcoholic beverages
- Hourly cocktail demonstrations with Derek Brown
- Fitness & nutrition talks with MADabolic
- Tasting glass
