DuClaw, the award-winning brewery from Bel Air, MD, will be hitting the District and Northern Virginia this month.  From their press release:

BEL AIR, MD (May 7, 2012) — DuClaw Brewing Company is proud to introduce their beer to the DC and Northern Virginia markets with expected availability in bars, shops and restaurants around the District this month.  This will be the first time that DuClaw Brewing Company’s various 22 oz. bottles and 12 oz. bottle six-packs will be available in the DC metro area.

DuClaw Brewing Company will host a kickoff party at The Big Hunt in Dupont Circle (1345 Connecticut Avenue NW) on May 24, 2012.  The DuClaw crew will be on hand to answer questions, introduce guests to rare beers from their line-up, and give away free prizes.

Top sellers, HellRazer IPA and EuForia Toffee Nut Brown Ale, perennial favorite Venom Pale Ale, and unique seasonal brew Mysterium Belgian Spiced Ale will be available in 12 oz. bottle six-packs at launch, with a fifth, Serum xxIPA, expected to be introduced in 12 oz. bottle six-packs in the coming months. Known for their rotating seasonal brews, DuClaw Brewing Company is sure to follow up with exciting additions to the roster of beers available in the DC and Northern Virginia market through distributor Hop and Wine Beverages.

DuClaw Brewing Company is already dominating the Maryland beer market, with beers available in stores, restaurants and bars throughout the state, including Wit & Wisdom, Max’s Taphouse, and Victoria Gastro Pub, and expects to make a similar impact in the DC metro area.

As if their hands weren’t full enough with the expansion, DuClaw will be moving into a new facility in short order, having outgrown their current digs; if they hope to meet the demands of DC’s thirsty hordes, it better be a big one.
