DC Brau, DC’s first production brewery in at least umpteen years, is finally set to launch its beers in the District. On April 15, what in many other years is Tax Day but in this year will be known as Tax Relief and Public Ale Launch Day, Meridian Pint will host Brandon Skall, Jeff Hancock, and a horde of DC Brau fans for what should be a truly momentous event.

The Public, which is described as a “delicious easy drinking pale ale made from a simple recipe of quality grain and top notch American hops. Tawny hues of caramel and amber are a trademark of the Public ale as well as a delicious spruce crispness resulting from a beautiful abundance of hops!” weighs in at 6.0% and will be the flagship of this fledgling brewery.

From 5-8pm, you’ll be able to get the Public for the steal price of $4 a pint. From 8pm to close, pints will be just $5. The Public will also be on Meridian Pint’s famed table taps, and DC Brau swag, including commemorative t-shirts, will also be available. The Public will be available only at DC Brau next weekend, and starting on Monday, its distribution in kegs and cans will begin across the rest of the city.

Get on out to Meridian Pint and toast both Jeff and Brandon’s accomplishments and the future of DC Brau by having a pint of the Public Ale!
