Congratulations to Joel LaPointe, whose entry was selected by the Brewers Association out of many that we received as the winner of the SAVOR Week Logo Contest!
There were a number of truly great entries, but Joel’s stood out for its simple and seamless integration of both beer and our nation’s capitol. As a reward, Joel will receive tickets to SAVOR, which will be held on June 3 and 4 at the National Building Museum here in Washington, D.C.
In an e-mail, Joel expressed his delight with being selected as the winner; “I’m happy to hear that the Brewers Association enjoyed my logo. Thank you so much for the opportunity, and I thoroughly look forward to attending SAVOR!”
DCBeer would like to thank everyone who submitted an entry for our contest; we’re sorry that only one could be picked as there were a number that were just fantastic. Also thanks to Premium Distributors of Washington, D.C. and the Brewers Association.
Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Joel’s winning logo is below in both color schemes. Be prepared to see this on SAVOR Week materials for years to come!

Nice work Joel! I’m looking forward to seeing that thing plastered all over the city in a few months.
I really don’t understand this. DC Beer Week is 8/14-20th. I think this is confusing to the public. Savor is a 2 day event.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the rest of the logo. I’m just not sure why it says “beer week dc”
The de facto has been that a bunch of breweries and bars put on events leading up to SAVOR anyway, and I saw it referred to as SAVOR Beer Week last year too. There’s SAVOR Beer Week and DC Beer Week. Is it a little confusing? Maybe. The end result is more beer events for everyone to enjoy, so I think it’ll work out fine.
Congratulations and Job well done. Savor the moment.
