RFD’s 1st Annual Charity for Children is this Saturday. It’s almost like DC Beer Week is starting early! On August 15, starting at 6PM in RFD’s Backroom the event will start off with a two hour buffet until 8PM and then drafts will only be $2. (Sounds like a chance to try the Heavy Seas Big DIPA!)
100% of the proceeds go to the Children’s National Medical Center. Children’s National Medical Center is the only exclusive provider of pediatric care in the metropolitan Washington area. It sees 360,000 patients each year from the DC area as well as from all over the country. Children’s provides more than $50 million in uncompensated care! And thus, you should go to this event and drink the beer.
On top of the buffet and beers, there will be door prizes and raffles for a team autographed Capital’s hockey stick, National’s tickets with a Ryan Zimmerman autographed baseball, a Wizards autographed ball, Redskins tickets, and bar merchandise. Tickets are $25. Click here for more info on RFD.
