Sure the French aren’t really known for their beer (unless they are French speaking Belgians) but Cafe L’Enfant is inviting DC to celebrate Bastille Day over a few rounds of good beer.
Tonight the ‘festivities’ start at 5 PM at Cafe L’Enfant at the corner of 18th and Florida at the lower end of Adams Morgan. Kick off work early and grab a patio seat. Festivities include music, food & drink specials, and door prizes. Apparently King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette will be hosting and offering free cake. At 8 PM 30 patrons will dress in French Maid outfits and race for prizes.
The cafe offers some Delirium Tremens, Chimay, deKonick and Ommegang Hennipin as well as a few others I can’t quite remember. Rochefort 12 perhaps? Usually Tuesday is their Belgian beer happy hour featuring half price beers. I’m guessing that could be what they mean by drink specials.
